The standard machine is manufactured in accordance with the CE standards.

OTHER FEATURES:
HEADSTOCK
The headstock of a new compact design is spindle runs in high precision large diameter roller bearings which give heavy loading capacity. A two steps gear box is built in between the headstock and main spindle motor, an extremely high torque spindle power is generated. The smooth & fast speed changing time is to ensure fast working conditions. CSS function is standard in our machine for stable cutting. Extra large spindle bore is available on request.
CARRIAGE
The carriage slides along the bed slide ways on surfaces with Turcite B material. The longitudinal travel of the saddle is obtained by a rigid ball screw of 63mm diameter (bed length shorter than 3M) or 80mm diameter (bed length longer than 4M). The hardened and precision ground ball screw for X & Z axes are mounted on high precision bearings to enable sensitive movement. The drive itself is transmitted to the screw through the high torque flex belt from a Fagor AC servo motor. It is induction hardened (HRC 50-52) and ground. With the electronic actual position and machining parameter display, the machine is good to be operated like a conventional machine or fully automatic ISO code process.
BED
The double “box way” designed bed is for higher rapid traverse and the extremely wide bed ways will be able to take heavier work pieces. The bed is also designed for easier chip flow into the chip tray or chip conveyor (option) with wash down. The ball screw is preloaded to ensure repeated accuracy.
TAILSTOCK
The tailstock travels along the two bed slide ways. It is ideal for carrying heavy work pieces and its interference free. Tailstock is easily positioned by carriage and connection is with a quick disconnect coupler.
CHIP GUARD
The MICROCUT Challenger teach in lathe has sliding guards at the front of the machine with vision window. Micro switches prevent the machine from being started if the guard is not fully closed and prevents to open the guards if the machine is being operated in automatic cycle. At the rear side, here is a full length rear splash guard with a large opening which allows easy access for cleaning & maintenance. The chip tray is designed to be removed from the back of the machine the coolant tank will be taken from front side. This allows easy cleaning of the tray and filter. A digital security system is provided around those areas where the front door is not covered.
CNC CONTROL & FUNCTION
FAGOR 8055TC A type controller is installed on this machine. It is a powerful CNC designed to meet the most demanding machine tool applications: lathe & turning centers and general purpose applications. Thanks to their great calculating power and processing speed, they offer high end features with the maximum programming versatility. The CNC modules are connected to each other by specific cables supplied by Fagor automation.
